Summary
Life is cruel, but that could not be truer for this family. Join Jacob Turner, a former Marine Vet, and his family, Anna, Ella and Edward, as they battle through the rugged political system and social terrain of American Division City, an over-dense, over-populated Mega City built from the ashes of Old World.
Along the way, you will experience family drama, action, vigilante justice and the battle for the little guy! So, if you like politics and action, I have found the book for you.
Let's talk about it
Tell us something about yourself that not many people know.
I love Supernatural and Star Wars.
Why did you choose the themes in your book and were you aware of them from the start?
I chose it because I felt that it reflected the current state of the world as we are currently living through a second Cold War, and I wanted my book to reflect the social and political turmoil of the 21st Century.
How difficult was it for you to write this book? Did you face any obstacles?
I find it difficult to get reviews and people interested in the books.
Do you always write in this genre or do you like to break out of the box?
I like this genre, but I am not afraid to think outside the box.
What are your writing habits or idiosyncrasies?
I love to write in short bursts and while listening to emotional music.
What would you do differently next time?
Use a Marketing team local to me.
With hindsight, what would you say to yourself as a fledgling writer?
You only get one shot as Eminem sings, so give it 100%
If you worked with a professional editor, what was the experience like?
Good. Jason from Clark-and-Mackay was excellent to work with, and I give a shout-out to him as my dream wouldn’t have come true without him.
What’s next for your writing?
Depending on sales, write a second one.
